  1. Hibernate or Exercise - The Choice is Yours!

The weather is starting to get colder which means that exercising outside becomes less intriguing as each day passes. Who wants to run outside at night in Cleveland, Detroit, New York, or anywhere that is cold for that matter? This is why treadmills, elliptical machines and other home gym equipment is quite necessary if you wish to stay in good form throughout the year. These days it is easier than ever to purchase quality fitness equipment for your home, making staying in shape easy, even if your window of opportunity to exercise each day is limited, as new things always come up into our schedules unannounced. When you have fitness equipment at home, you do not have to carve several hours out of your day for going to the gym, showering, sitting in traffic, so on and so forth. Make things easier for yourself and give yourself the ability to workout at home, at your convenience. Your chances of looking and feeling good increase by orders of magnitude when you have home gym equipment.

  2. Don't Waste Time on Cheap Fitness Products

Every night while watching TV, I see so many ridiculously horrible advertisements for cheap fitness equipment, and it boggles my mind why anyone would ever buy such low-end, flimsy weight or cardio equipment. For example, we have all seen the heavy-duty stair climbers spread across gym floors nationwide, and they all are as tall, or taller than we are, on average that is. In order for the fitness equipment at gyms to be effective, and durable, they must have some weight to them, to prevent instability and ensure safety. However, lately I have seen several cheap, small, and lousy looking stair steppers that according to the infomercials pushing them, are the best thing since sliced bread. Nothing could be further from the truth. In almost every case what looks to good to be true is. Unfortunately, a piece of gym equipment, whether cardio or strength based, can't be replicated by a company producing "similar" pieces of fitness equipment, for 95% less. If it sounds too good to be true, i

  3. What Is Your Favorite Brand of Fitness Equipment?

The Kings of Cardio are surveying the American public in order to find out which manufacturer produces the highest quality fitness equipment. It is very simple, which pieces of fitness equipment are your favorites, and why? Our staff is comprised of professionals from across the world that specialize in health and fitness. We are very interested in what are the most popular pieces of exercise equipment in the fitness industry today. Recently, treadmill sales have been eclipsed by elliptical sales, so we are guessing that the majority of responses will be geared towards, and favoring, elliptical cross-trainers over treadmills, exercise bikes, and other forms of fitness equipment. Keep in mind that elliptical cross trainers provides users with the same cardiovascular benefits of treadmills, but ellipticals do not beat up your knees, ankles, and hips like treads. For that reason, elliptical machines are now more popular than treadmills, for the first time ever. Meanwh

  4. Stay Fit with Exercise Equipment @ Home

The recent increase in the amount of people in the United States that purchase fitness equipment for their home is a good sign. Are we finally realizing that happiness is attained through gym equipment rather than designer clothes? We here at Kings of Cardio sure hope so! Recently in the news, there has been even more coverage focused around heathcare, than the average daily dosage. It is well known that the U.S.A. is the only first world nation on the planet that does not offer a comprehensive, universal healthcare system. The counter argument to that is something in the realm of "well that's why we have the best doctors." That argument is flawed to say the least. Our nation is not even in the top 10 when it comes to highest life expectancy rates! Why? One reason is that 9/10 people would be clueless if you asked them what an elliptical is, or what a stair climber is, or what their favorite piece of fitness equipment is. Home gym equipment, gym equipment, sports equipment, or weight

  5. Eat to Live, Don't Live to Eat!

Labor Day is here and hopefully you are not just getting fatter by the second and drinking lots of beer while you eat ribs and inhale greasy cheeseburgers. If you are one of those unfortunate souls, then you must exercise later so you can burn of some of the 10,000 calories you ingested within the past hour. Seriously, are we just the fattest, groset nation on God's green earth? I sometimes wonder if people do not have mirrors? Maybe they just do not have any self control or disciple at all. Let me tell you something and make it crystal clear, every single day of your life you either get better or you get worse. There is absolutely no in-between. Unfortunately, some people are sick/disabled/handicapped/unable to perform and therefore they can not control their own destiny. But for all of you who are in good enough health to exercise, have 2 arms and two legs, be ashamed of yourself if you are fat and overweight. Seriously ashamed, to say the absolute least. Is it that difficu

  6. Floyd Mayweather Training Techniques on HBO's 24/7

Last night we watched "24/7", an HBO documentary based on the lives of two boxers and their daily training routines, as they prepare for a huge fight. HBO started this series several years ago when Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather fought Oscar De La Hoya on Cinco De Mayo, 2007. In an attempt to promote the fight, and gain more PPV  revenue, HBO created "24/7". Well, as usual, HBO's plan worked and their show turned out to be a smash. Hard core boxing fans and regular TV viewers from across the world loved the show and its unique inside look into he complex lives and training methods of two world class fighters. The latest installments of "24/7"  are centered on the upcoming Mayweather vs. Marquez fight, and I have to say that Juan Manuel Marquez takes training to levels far beyond ones imagination. Its latest episode begins with Juan Marquez running up and down volcanic mountains while picking up huge rocks and throwing them, which looked grueling, but was dwarfed and forgotten

  9. Health Clubs vs. Home Gyms

HEALTH CLUBS VS. HOME GYMS Pros of Health Club: 1.) Healthy, strong, agile, good looking people at the gym provides tangible motivation for our minds. 2.) Health clubs provide a wide variety of fitness equipment to use and it is near impossible for most of us to outfit our homes with the quantity and quality of exercise equipment that the gym offers. Cons of Health Clubs 1.) Time Is of the Essence and it takes too much time out of our day to go sit in traffic and go to gym. The physical act of getting to the gym is an obstacle in and of itself. 2.) Cleanliness - If somebody at your gym is sick, watch out, before you know it, you, your family and friends will all be sick! (worst case scenario) - either way, fitness equipment

  10. Be More Active for a Healthier Body

Summer is winding down but this does not mean that you should give up on your summer exercising routines. Do not start hibernating just because the sun is starting to go down earlier and it is not as hot outside. Drinking milk shakes, having snacks before bed, eating fast food and drinking your fair share of alcohol, will have you looking like every other scrubby pedestrian in society. Don't be that person who gives up on their appearance. Looking at ourselves in the mirror as we all do daily can make us really confident, or on the other hand, insecure. Most of the overweight people that are insecure, just need to motivate themselves and they'd stand a much better chance of being healthy and happy. Psychologically, getting into a fitness routine, if you've been lazy your entire life, is harder than the physical aspect.Drill these thoughts in your brain. More weight lifting and running. Less sugar. More strength training. Less surfing the interwebs.  Our nation as a whole has beco
