  1. Detox Your Body Periodically

Nobody entirely avoids toxicity. Our daily routine is laced with toxins and although we can't completely eliminate them, we can be mindful of their widespread existence and cleanse our body of toxins occasionally. Chemicals from standard household cleaning agents, laundry detergent, deodorant, car exhaust and many more toxins linger in the air and subsequently linger in our bodies. Installing water and air filters at home will be a simple yet helpful step in the right direction of living a cleaner life. Consume as much natural, organic food as possible and the more locally grown it is, the better. When you come up with a plan, you have to stick with it and ride through the tough times. It's not easy to entirely change your life around at the drop of a dime, small incremental steps helps and as long as our worst gets better, then we are moving forward.  Make sure your body goes though natural detoxification. Detoxification is all all day activity. Waste from our insides is always

  2. The Prohibition of Sugary Drinks

Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York City, has tried his best to limit the amount of soda one can buy in one drink, but he is running out of time. Prohibiting large amounts of high-calorie, sugary soft-drinks sales, has proven to be easier said, than done. While Bloomberg and his constituents have argued that attacking the sales of over-sized soda's will deter obesity, his opponents have argued that the government should not be allowed to determine what portions of food we should eat and that such bureaucratic overreaching is detrimental towards our  individual liberties. The American Beverage Association put a halt to Bloomberg's brief sugary drink ban when the ABA was successful in getting a State Supreme Court in Manhattan to stop New York City from limiting the purchase of soft drinks deemed to large by Bloomberg. The judge dismissed Bloomberg and the city's claims that banning "extra-large" soft-drinks is constitutional. Today, the city was back in court, this time in an

  3. How Does Eating Change Your Body & Mind?

Substantial changes in your diet may lead you to a healthier and happier life. Artificial sweeteners, trans fats and high-fructose corn syrup are regularly ingested in our body, yet most of us never take the time to analyze our physical and emotional state, after we digest a Quarter Pounder with cheese, large fries and Coke. Do we feel happier? Are we tired? How do you feel after you eat X, Y and Z? We need to be more mindful of the physical and emotional changes we experience after eating particular foods. Considering how your body reacts to junk food is extraordinarily important towards our complete understanding of the consequences that come from consuming unhealthy ingredients. Many of us are tired more than we would like to be. Would you trade your favorite food for one hour of extra energy every day? How about two? Pay closer attention to what you eat and its ingredients and you may drastically improve your quality of life. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know w

  5. Exercise and Healthy Eating Habits Make Working Easier!

For the past 2 months I have been doing a workout which has been great, I have already seen amazing results. I had gotten out of my workout because I was to busy working and making other excuses, I no longer had a ton of time to go to the gym so for a few months I was working out once...  maybe 2 times a week if I was lucky. After a few months of this routine, I started to notice how out of shape I was getting and my energy level was way down.  Due to the fact that I stopped exercising as much and had basically given up on my cardio and strength routines, I started to feel pretty lousy. So I made a commitment to get back in shape. Since the gym took up so much time and I didn't want to fall back into old habits of making excuses, I decided the first step would be to buy a piece of Cardio equipment for the house. This decision was due mostly in part to the fact that it will be much easier to work out whenever I want, instead of having to go to the gym, sit in traffic, hope
