    I've worked out in gyms and clubs off and on for the past six years, the “off” times due to illness, too much else to do, or frustration. (Who hasn't gotten frustrated when they can’t lose those last five pounds?) Sometimes I needed an extra push, and instead of giving myself that push, I’d quit. But I always felt worse not exercising, found that the hour of working out, three times a day, did something more than help me stay in shape physically. It made me feel good about myself—that I had will power, that I was in control of my brain and body. So, I’m back to it now, have been for almost a year, and once again, I’m at that place where I need the extra push. Blogging might do it.   2. We Eat More When We Are With Family & Friends

    It's nice to be home for the holidays and see family and friends. Catching up on what all of your favorite people are doing is always a good thing. The only bad part apart going home for Thanksgiving and Christmas is that we tend to eat way too many calories while we socialize and hang out. Try and imagine the last time you went to a family gathering and did not leave 10 lbs. heavier? The problem with consuming too many calories is that it can be very detrimental towards our health and long term happiness. The recipe for mixing your favorite indulgences while remaining healthy can be easy to follow as long as you live by the code of "moderation." In other words, anything in moderation is fine, and as long as you are active and exercise regularly, those extra calories consumed during the holidays with family will burn off. On the other hand, if you're more sedentary than normal, the extra holiday stuffing is pretty damn bad for you.
